Abridged
December 11, 1996 Contents: A Letter from the Editor Just What is Dark Matter? A Letter from the Editor Okay, folks, it's Christmas time, and that means topless pictures! Yes, this is a picture of yours truly at the Hand vs. Guilford football game on Thanksgiving Day, 1996. To my right is the infamous Captain Scurvy, and to my left is my beautiful girlfriend, Jessica Palardy. You'll have to excuse the line through the picture, but the photo is a quick scan from the Shoreline times, the local paper in Madison, CT. I'm a little disappointed in the paper which identified me as "Daniel Hand High School senior Chris Guerette," when I, in fact, am now a freshman at Syracuse University. This is the fault of Lisa A. Lee, who, when she took the photo, asked me only my name, and how to spell it, and didn't write it down. Cheers to her for spelling it right, jeers for not realizing I graduated from Danny Hand last year (thus the Black "96" on my Gold torso). Anyway, it's Sham time once again, as I'm stuck in the middle of finals. Enjoy this new issue, understanding that I'll add to it over the next few days from Syracuse, and back home in Madison. I've expanded the publication into a few pages, so you'll have to hop around instead of scroll, but I think this will contribute to readability. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and a Jolly Ride from College to all! Chris Guerette
